While this fact alone enabled strong performance in the brick & mortar retail space, Taza knew that they had to evolve their model to take advantage of the wide reach and increasing relevance of the digital marketplace.
Maniacal brought its expertise in the flavor of e-commerce. Through careful analysis of Taza's brand position online, we were able to optimize how customers engaged with Taza online, tying purchases to the rich stories and recipes as they browsed.
Maniacal evolved the digital experience by designing a new section in which Taza's chocolates were showcased alongside the recipes and stories that used them, encouraging the purchase in context. Extending this, we developed new UI components to recommend complementary Taza products and encourage a minimum cart size via a variety of "Free Shipping" indicators to maximize customer order value.
Beyond the impulse buy, our engagement enabled customers to understand chocolate's broader uses as a snack, ingredient, and foundation of the connoisseur's collection.
